On October 1, 2012 the Department of Licensing raised its hearing fee from $200 to $375. This fee increase will certainly have its effects. For many people struggling in this tough economy this may mean forgoing the administrative hearing altogether due to the cost. There is a DUI Indigent Waiver for those who can prove their income is below the federal poverty guideline. Information for this fee can be found on the DOL's website.
If you happen to be in a position where you're considering whether or not to request an administrative hearing from the DOL feel free to give our office a call. I offer a free one hour consultation, either by phone or in person, where we can discuss your case and your options. I have over 17 years of DUI experience, including DOL administrative hearing experience, and offer reasonable fees and payment options. Please feel free to call the Law Offices of Raymond Ejarque at (206) 621-1554 to schedule an appointment.
